Comments: The compatibility of calcium and phosphate was determined in a central 3-in-1 parenteral nutrition admixture. Samples were stored for 24 hours refrigerated and then stored for an additional 24 hours at either 25 or 40 C. Only the concentration range shown was tested at 25 C. Visual inspection, particulate matter analysis using filtration, and pH determination were performed.

Note: FreAmine III contributes phosphate that must be considered in arriving at a compatibility judgment. This intrinsic phosphate content is reflected in the phosphate concentration noted in the accompanying compatibility curve.
