Exiting the PINNACLE™ TPN Manager Software Program

Saving Entered Data

It is important that the user:

(1) Make sure they click “Submit Changes”, "Save" or "Save & Exit" as appropriate.

For those screens where multiple points of data entry are expected to be encountered, the “Submit Changes” button will be available.  Pressing the “Submit Changes” button saves the current valid contents of the screen in the database, performs calculations of derived data, updates the appropriate fields with new values and allows the user to remain in the active screen.  To exit the screen, pressing a button, such as “Save & Exit” or “Cancel” may be required.  Note that pressing the “Cancel” button after the “Submit Changes” button will not save only those data points entered after the “Submit Changes” button was last pressed.

The “Save” and “Save & Exit” buttons commit the valid information displayed on the screen to the database.  Pressing the “Save” button saves the current valid contents of the screen in the database allows the user to remain in the active screen.  To exit the screen, pressing a button, such as “Save & Exit” or “Cancel” may be required.  Note that pressing the “Cancel” button after the “Save” button will not save only those data points entered after the “Save” button was last pressed.  Pressing the “Save& Exit” button saves the current valid contents of the screen in the database and then exits the user from the active screen.

(2) Properly shut down the computer.

Note that it is not necessary to sign off the TPN Manager Software or close the Browser to save entered data. However, it is strongly recommended that the user BOTH sign off the TPN Manager Software and then close the Browser to maintain the highest level of system security.

After utilizing Pinnacle TPN Manager Software, you can exit the program by following the step by step instructions below.

1. From the Home screen (Screen 001), select the Sign Off link.

This action will then position the software back to the Sign On screen. To ensure that pages you have accessed cannot be recalled by another user, you should close the browser now. To close the browser, perform the following additional steps

2. From the Sign On screen, select the Close Browser link.

3. You may then see a warning pop-up message from your browser software. It may state something similar to the following:
